Study Pod
The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire to be the perfect area to place my futuristic study pod; I’ve selected the site because the space of the area is wide and spacious, suitable to build extraordinary architect in it. My client chosen is engineering students, I designed a study pod that “defines physics” form.
I planned the exterior and interior of the pod to relate to the character and personality of my client and design it in a unique shape by using materials that enhance the vibe for the chosen students as they enter the building, or approach the pod to study. Students are able to feel like they belong with the same crowd while they’re studying inside or outside the pod.
The purpose of this pod is to make sure that students are able to focus on their work, but at the same time relax their minds. In addition, they are able to do different type of activities whilst getting their work done. Students are also provided facilities such as printers, bookshelf of reference books, and a vending machine (just in case they’re too busy for meals).
